We can be grateful for all our trials!

Paul gave his whole heart in everything he did: his relationship with God, his relationship with the Corinthians and in his ministry. Looking at how Paul overcame incredible difficulties, sorrows and persecution shows his amazing gratitude for God in the middle of all the drama. He describes himself as “sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.” (2 Corinthians 6:10) Only sincere, heart-felt gratitude for the cross, will inspire us to resist the attraction of the world and to overcome the guilt of our sin.

“Moreover, I am cognizant of the interrelatedness of all communities and states. I cannot sit idly by in Atlanta and not be concerned about what happens in Birmingham. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. Never again can we afford to live with the narrow, provincial “outside agitator” idea. Anyone who lives inside the United States can never be considered an outsider anywhere within its bounds.” – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
• God wants to use you to help the world to overcome.
• You have got to believe and stop wasting time.
• Be an example to help the world to overcome.
