21st Anniversary Letter

Welcome to the 21st Anniversary Service of the Syracuse International Christian Church!

Today is an exciting day because we are not just celebrating this momentous occasion but also all that God has done over the past 21 years! God has sent out countless disciples around the world to impact other cities like Santiago, Chile, London, England, Los Angeles, California, Chicago, Illinois, Washington, D.C. and more! Most recently we have seen five of “our best” disciples sent out by the Holy Spirit (Acts 13:4) to our incredible sister churches in New York City, Las Vegas, and Gainesville! In 1993 when the church was planted the vision was not just to impact Syracuse but all of Central New York State and beyond. It makes me so proud to be disciple here in Syracuse and serve such a sacrificial group of people. Since 1993 millions of dollars have been generously given to churches and the fruit has been literally thousands of souls! So some may ask at what point does the Syracuse Church get to focus on the Syracuse Church?

The fact is… never!

We are a part of God’s modern day movement of churches called The SoldOut Discipling Movement! We believe the words of Jesus that “it is more blessed to give than to receive.” The fact is that no disciple, no leader, no church is to ever stop being focused on “giving” to others! By faith, God surely will meet all of our needs both in leadership and financially! We could not be more thrilled by what God is doing through us. It is incredibly humbling to see the many lost souls baptized into Christ and the fallen disciples restored to God’s Kingdom! Please pray with me that God will allow us to see the world won for Him!

Our brothers and sisters had spread God’s message across the globe in the First Century and since then, frankly, it has not happened since. As we celebrate our 21st Anniversary, let us pray that God will give us 21st Century disciples a First Century heart and that we will see the world evangelized in our day!

And to God be the glory!
